Our philosophy

We are positive reinforcement trainers. We help you build a unique bond and trusting relationship with your dog using praise, food, toys etc to reinforce your relationship. Essentially, your dog learns that good things happen to them when they do the things you want.

What will your puppy learn?

This small group course (max 6 puppies) gives you an introduction to puppy training in a fun, friendly class. 

The syllabus is designed to help you guide your puppy from easy to more complex exercises, building on your puppy’s understanding and confidence each week.  At the end of the 6 week course you will have a solid foundation for your relationship together.  The course is equivalent to the Kennel Club’s Foundation Certificate and the syllabus includes:

• Recall - Games which turn the fun switch on your dog so he is hot on your toes!

• Connection - do you exist in your dog's world?

• Loose lead walking – no pulling!

• Positions – train without physically pushing your dog into positions like sit, down and stay.

• The Vet Visit & grooming game - how to empower your dog to communicate with you.

• ‘Settle on a mat’ - everyone wants to chill out in the pub with their dog, right?

• ‘Leave’ an object when asked - no more reaching in the dog's mouth to retrieve your slipper.

• The 3 second Game – what is your dog telling you about touch?

• Being social / greeting people without jumping - there is always someone wearing white trousers (face palm)!

NB: Your puppy must be fully vaccinated to attend the group course.

 

Prices

• £120 – Training Course only

• £170 – Puppy Home Visit & Training Course.  Includes  1hr private training session at your home (or a park-walk) plus 6 week group training course.*

• £180 – Extended Puppy Home Visit & Training course.  Includes 75mins training session at your home (or park walk) plus 6 week group training course. Our bestseller!*

*Home visit price for Cheltenham.  Locations beyond this are possible but will incur an additional ‘time & travel’ charge.

St Margaret’s Hall, Coniston Road, Hatherley, Cheltenham GL51 3NU

• Fridays @ 12noon (till 1pm);

• Fridays @ 1.10pm (till 2.10pm)

• Sundays @ 9.30am (till 10.30am)

• Sundays @ 10.40am (till 11.40am)

The classes have a maximum of 6 puppies; each course comprises 6 x 1 hour lessons.  Your puppy will receive a certificate and rosette on completion!
